Stillpoint
Desktop focus companion
2025—2026
A small desktop companion that holds one task at a time, dims everything else, and gently checks in when a session runs long
Why I made it
Most focus apps treat attention like a streak to defend. I wanted something softer that helps you begin, keeps one task in view, and steps aside when you are already in the flow.
How it works
You name a single task and Stillpoint quietly dims every other window. There are no badges or sounds. When a session runs well past its planned end, a small note asks whether you want to keep going or take a break.
Designing for quiet
Every prompt was written to be ignorable. If you do nothing, nothing happens, which turned out to be the feature people mentioned most.
